I have just finished reading many of your blog entries. Thank you for publishing my life in a way I never could. I wondered, for a while, whether I had been writing your blog in my sleep, it is that close to my own work experience. If only the powers that be could understand what these schools do, that deprivation applies to children not in receipt of free school dinners, as well as those who are, and £900 quid a kid is not enough to provide experiences and actions that will make a real difference.
Keep on keeping on, you know it makes sense!

Poignant and thoughtful as always. You strike to the heart of why we work in schools…for the children and especially for those whom school is that place that is stable and secure.

I hope you do recruit the staff your children so deserve.

As always beautiful writing. You just put into perspective a very hard evening for me. I have to wait another year to apply for my PGCE due to welsh politics ( I need a b in maths I have a c ) but at least I have the luxury of that year to spend with my 7 yr old x thank you

Thanks for sharing that. I too am vascillating about a number of things. However, last night my brother and his wife stayed over. They are great and we stayed up until 3 laughing, drinking and getting a bit maudlin. The resulting hangover this morning has made me realise that there are worse things than feeling undecided… My liver keeps asking me not to do that too often. Keep smiling!
